Hi, I’m Maya.

I’m a Belgian-British bilingual writer with a deep-rooted interest in language and communication. After studying English and Dutch Literature and Linguistics at the University of Leuven I moved to London, where I worked in customer service and marketing before deciding that the freelance life was more my style. I have over 7 years of experience in content writing, journalism, translation, SEO-driven writing and editing. I am still based in the UK but I tend to move around between Belgium, the UK and Japan.

Outside of work I go climbing and hiking as much as possible. I’m involved in competition climbing as a volunteer judge and athlete manager. I’ve also been studying Japanese on the side for a few years.
